Facial massage to get skin glow

Everyone loves a good massage. Sore back muscles and tension within the shoulders just melts away. Your face would also love a massage. You can get clearer skin, a youthful healthy glow, along with a younger looking face in exchange for your efforts. Everybody wants clear skin. Nobody loves to be plagued by pimples, spots or acne. However, clear skin doesn't imply beautiful skin. You can have clear skin however it may look dull and lifeless. Vibrant, glowing healthy skin should be the goal.

The numerous benefits associated with facial massage include increased facial tone of muscle; wrinkle reduction; a brighter, more even complexion; decrease in fluid and puffiness; softer skin; and increased skin cell renewal. Bottom line: Facial massage should be a part of your everyday beauty routine.

  1. Once the blood and lymphatic systems decelerate in the body, toxic wastes and excess fluids develop within the cells. These fluids and toxins bring about water retention, puffiness and skin dullness. A facial massage might help improve the drainage of lymph and flow of blood, much like how physical exercise can boost your circulation.
  2. Put the pads of the ring finger of each hand on the interior edge of the eyebrows near the centre of your forehead. Make really small and gentle circular stroking movements, working all around your eyes. Glide lightly over the surface of the skin. Continue these circular strokes throughout your face and under your chin. 
  3. Gently press after which rotate the pads of your fingers therefore the skin moves against the bone. Take care not to drag the skin.   5. Place all the fingers of both hands above your chin, with thumbs held underneath your jaw. Gently press down and rotate your fingers, fostering not to move your thumbs. Continue the movements along your jawbone, up to your ears. Repeat the pressing and rotating movements three times, maintaining a gentle pressure.
  6. With palms facing downwards, gently pat under your chin and around your jawline. Using alternate hands, tap regularly inside a flicking action, covering the whole area.
  7. Cover your face with gentle fingertip tapping to provide skin a glow. Keep the movement light and bouncy, moving rapidly over cheeks, nose and forehead. Include your ears if you want.
  8. Finish by stroking gently upwards from your chest to your chin using the backs of your hands in long, flowing sweeps. Ensure that one hand moves following the other rhythmically.
